VietNamNet Bridge – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Performance Art Bureau will allow HCM City model Chung Thuc Quyen to attend Miss Tourism Queen International 2008 in China. The girl will leave Vietnam for China on March 23.

Under the sponsorship of Elite Vietnam Company, Thuc Quyen is urgently preparing for the pageant. She is practicing disco dancing with the ABC dance troupe and learning a silk dance under the instruction of a gymnastics trainer for the talent and disco queen competitions at Miss Tourism Queen International 2008.

The model’s costumes are designed by fashion designer Dung Nguyen while a make-up artist named Huynh Loi will go to China with Thuc Quyen.

The girl, 21, 1.72m tall and body measurements of 82-61-92, won the Miss Photo title at a beauty contest held by Vietnam Women’s Magazine in 2005. Quyen can speak Chinese.

Miss Tourism Queen International is one of the five largest annual beauty contests in the world. This year’s contest opened on March 20 and will finish on April 12.

Before Thuc Quyen, five Vietnamese girls attended this event but none of them came home with a prize.
